Put my new shoes on
Last night before I went to a party I wore my new Isabel Marant KO shoes. Since they arrived a few days ago I almost wear them every day! So last night I wanted to wear my favorite outfit, it may not look sexy or elegant but sometimes I want to show my tough site (stoer). Many people think I'm this doll - y girl who often wears high heels so these shoes may shock them, let's hope.
Taking these pictures made me quite nervous, people who walked by were starring and probably asking themselves for what reason I'm doing this. But my last post gave me a lot of confidence and it helped so much that my friend Sophie supported me when she told me to not give a damn!

My very first outfit post!
I'm so excited to post my first outfit! But to be honest I'm also kind of nervous.. I wanted to start posting my outfits for a long time but when I checked out all the other blogs I always thought they looked so pretty and professional. I envy them because they have the guts to post their pictures, but today I thought by myself WHAT THE HELL?! I want to post my outfit so I will!
Today the weather in the Netherlands is very sunny, which is very rare! So I put on an outfit which makes me happy: flowers. I wrote in an earlier post that I was looking for jeans with a flower print, and I found one. When I read my magazines like ELLE, Voque and Glamour I always get so much inspiration, but the things I dislike are the prices of most clothes. These magazines contain so many expensive clothes which aren't affordable for students like me! So my challenge is to find items in the same style to create my own outfits.
I'm very interested in your opinion about my first outfit post and I would love it if you want to share this with me <3

Wear what suits you; Strappy Heels
I strongly believe that you should only wear what suits you. Every season there are so many trends in fashion that I just want to buy from every trend several Items! If I had the money I would probably do that but unfortunately not..
I think it is very important to dress yourself only in the items of which you think they look good on you. For example the ankle strap heels. This will be a huge trend this summer and I think they look beautifull on girls who are really tall. But when you aren't that tall, a strap around your ankel really makes you legs look shorter because they are interrupted by a small strap. For this reason I think it will look much better to a nice pair of heels with straps on the foot or toes instead of around the ankle.
But nevertheless, everybody can dress fashionable in my opinion. You just have to wear the items you like on yourself and not the items you like on someone else, don't you agree <3

An asymmetric summer
From the back you look very decent and slightly neat (truttig), but when you turn around your amazing legs can be seen! With these asymmetric items in some way it always looks like you have these long skinny legs even though you don't! This trend is fantastic for a figure like I have because I'm not as tall as a model, but I do love long skirts. These short/long skirts are a great solution for my hight and if I may say; they suit me well.
These skirts and dresses are long in the back and short in the front. First a layer of a fabric like cotton and then a layer of see-through materials. It can be worn with flats, heels, with panties or with jeans. But I prefer the 'less is more' way by wearing nothing underneath but some high heels.
When you want to look elegant but you still want to show some leg at the same time, this trend definitely is something for you. I'm wondering what colour you prefer..

Trending: Dip dye
Let's dip our hair in a bottle of pink paint; yehh!!
Are you familiar with the trends which look awesome on other poeple but you are too scared to try it yourself? This might be one; the Dip Dye trend. It is seen on clothes this summer; the clothes are dark on top and are getting lighter towards the bottom. But this post isn't about clothing, it's about hair. Last year the trend was seen on dark hair with bleached-out blonde ends: ombre hair. But this year it's all about coloured ends. It may look kind off alternative when you paint the ends pink, but it is worn by real fashionistas like Alexa chung. Is this a trend you'd like to try yourself?

Heels vs Sneakers; or both?
The past summers were all about heels. The higher the better. I think, when you decide to wear heels, you have to wear good ones; wear high heels or completely flat shoes like sneakers. Something in between is just.. something in between! If you haven't heard of the designer who combined heels with sneakers, you probably have been living under a rock. Haha no I'm sorry but Isabel Marant came up with these sneakers with a built-in wedge which are already very populair among celebrities and fashionistas. Honestly, when I first saw them, I thought they looked a bit like orthopedic shoes. But once I saw them more often, I secretly got to love them.
Unfortunately they are too expensive for me at the moment (about €600) so for the mean time I'll stick to my New Balance sneakers which I bought a few weeks ago ( photo on the right). This brand was originaly designed in 1906 for running but a while ago they came up with a Retro & Lifestyle line fory men and recently also for women. They are great on a casual day on university and when I'm wearing these shoes, I always feel like I'm walking on air <3
